When you arrive in the Drowned Abyss, follow the story. You’ll have to find and read three inscriptions and then you’ll be tasked with entering the temple. After you get ambushed you’ll find a fish and have to sacrifice the fish to summon a Fire Spirit. After the Fire Spirit is summoned, the story tells you to follow the Fire Spirit. DO NOT do this. This will drop you back and make it take ages to run all the way around again.

There is a door blocking the way to the Ancient Obelisk. The door is closed and there’s a red gem at the center of the door. After you release the Fire Spirt, near the end of the story for this area, don’t follow the Fire Spirit. Instead, turn around and go through the door that was previously closed. Once you summon the Fire Spirit, the door opens and you can head through. Once the door is opened it’s just a matter of following the path until you reach the Ancient Obelisk.
When you activate the Ancient Obelisk you’re immediately attacked, so be prepared for a fight. You’ll have to fight some crabs and sharks before a crab boss appears. Defeat the crab boss to finish the Ancient Obelisk for this area and marked the Campaign Challenge off your list.
