Tile Master 3D mixes together ideas from hidden object games and match-stuff puzzlers to create something that’s fun, pretty easy to pick up and pretty tough to put down. The deeper you get in the game, though, the tougher things are going to get. Which means you’re probably going to need some help.
And it’s help we’re offering right here. We’ve put a good few hours into the game and discovered all of the hints, tips and tricks that you need to make sure all of your matches are spot on. With this strategy guide you’re going to become the tile master of legend. Or, y’know, the title.
Whether you’re just making your first matches or you’ve been searching for chicken heads for a while, we hope there’s going to be something here that’ll make your tile mastering life easier. Right then, let’s do this – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Tile Master 3D.
Match fast
The faster you match, the higher your multiplier is going to get. The higher your multiplier gets, the more points you’re going to earn. Don’t be reckless with your speed, otherwise you’ll end up filling up your match boxes and losing, but try and keep up a decent rhythm to keep that multiplier heading upwards.
Own your mistakes
If you miss a match, don’t fret too much. There’s space to make mistakes – if you put in the wrong item, either find the right one or switch focus to making the new match. There are seven spaces in the bar along the bottom of the screen, so you can make a couple of mistakes and still not ruin your run.
Watch the time limit
The time limit gets shorter the deeper you get into the game, so always check how long you’ve got to finish a level. Sometimes you’re going to have to use one of the offered boosts to clear things before you’ve even started to get a leg-up on finishing the level. It’s best to save these for after you’ve failed, so you know you’re not wasting them.
Pick objects you can’t identify
Sometimes objects are going to be laying at a strange angle that makes them difficult to identify. Pick them up and drop them in the match bar and they’ll land the right way round – that way you know what you need to find to get rid of them. It’s a useful trick and one you should make full advantage of.
Use the highlight
When there’s a big pile of objects and you need to make sure you’re picking up the right one, use the highlighting tool to help out. Drag your finger around the area and you’ll see a green outline on the object you’re currently holding. Get that outline around the right one and you’re good to pick it up.
