Esports and gaming company Tiidal Gaming has announced the appointment of Tom Hearne, formerly of theScore, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
The company also announced that Hearne will also become a board member for Tiidal. Moreover, he will host the upcoming earnings call for investors in January to discuss Tiidal Gaming’s strategy and vision for the future.

Tiidal added in the release that the company intends to issue 4,400,000 share options at an exercise price of $0.30 in the near future, pending Canadian Stock Exchange approval.
Tiidal’s new CEO Tom Hearne is an experienced executive that specialised in growing companies from early startup stages to IPO’s and successful financing rounds. Most recently, Hearne held the position of Chief Financial Officer for esports media company TheScore. Hearne also helped a number of startups secure high market caps and stock exchange listings, such as OpenText and Sportech.

Tiidal Gaming is the holding company for Lazarus Esports, a Canadian esports team that currently fields teams in Apex Legends, PUBG Mobile, Gran Turismo, Crossfire, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and a number of other titles. Tiidal is also the owner of Sportsflare, an esports-focused betting platform.
