What are dynamic events in Throne and Liberty? Much like other events in MMORPGs, dynamic events in Throne and Liberty happen at a specific place and at a specific time. Unlike other MMORPGs, they’re not completely random with ways to tell when they’re going to happen, so you can come back when you’re ready to take them on. That said, it can be a little confusing to get a grasp on them as the map will show their location but not how to activate them.

Throne and Liberty dynamic events explained

Fairly early on in your adventure as the Star-Born you’ll get optional quests for what are called dynamic events. If you’re anything like us, you’ll want to clear out your quest log wherever you go in order to get all the armor upgrades and skill points possible.

However, you might find it difficult to activate or participate in these events – or you stumbled upon the end of one and aren’t sure how to find it again.

Finding dynamic events is quite simple: open up your map and head over to the timetable tab on the top left of the screen. Here, you’ll find the list of dynamic events by area and the time (based on your system’s local time) when they begin. Typically, they happen every three hours, so good luck planning your day around specific events.

Each dynamic event has a different goal to reach within a certain time limit. Some even pit you against other players to defeat the most enemies or collect the most items for even greater rewards.

How to complete Throne and Liberty Wolf Hunting Contest

Likely the first dynamic event you’ll experience is the Wolf Hunting Contest, as it’s part of the main story. In the Blackhowl Plains area of the game, you will get the Exploration Codex goal to complete the Wolf Hunting Contest.

As stated above, this event activates every three hours. On the hour, the NPC Hobs will announce a five minute countdown. When it reaches zero, scramble around the Blackhowl Plains area killing as many wolves of any type as you can to collect their tails.

Once you collect your tails, you must deposit them into bins. However, once a bin is full, you can no longer bring them there and must find another.

The more you deposit, the more items like Armor Growthstones you’ll receive. This is rather difficult to do as if another player attacks a wolf first, you will not be able to claim the tail. This will be apparent when the wolf’s name and health bar is gray.

Furthermore, many players dash around the map with wolf-like morphs so it’s difficult to spot wolves to kill. The top players will receive extra rewards. The event runs on a 20 minute timer.

Afterward, make sure to seek out Hobs to obtain some extra loot for your effort. Tip: collect at least 30 wolf tails to clear a subsequent Exploration Codex goal.

And that’s all you need to know about dynamic events in Throne and Liberty. You should take a peek at the Throne and Liberty system requirements to see if your computer can handle so many wolves and players on screen at once. Only time will tell if such a unique way to handle events will make it one of the best MMORPGs of all time.
