EA has announced that three new Star Wars games are currently in development at developer Respawn, including a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, an FPS, and a strategy game. According to a post over on EA’s website, game director Stig Asmussen and the Respawn team are already working on the next game in the Star Wars Jedi series. Unfortunately, that’s all EA has said about the sequel; however, the publisher has shared that another two teams at Respawn are working on two more Star Wars games, including an all-new first-person shooter, which is headed up by the former executive producer of the original Star Wars Battlefront games, Peter Hirschmann, and a Star Wars strategy title that’s being developed in collaboration with newly-formed studio Bit Reactor. Respawn will produce this strategy game while Bit Reactor leads development. EA currently holds the license to release Star Wars games exclusively until 2023, but it appears the publisher will still be launching Star Wars titles after this date. Ubisoft is also currently developing a new story-driven open-world game that’s set in the Star Wars galaxy, and Quantic Dream recently revealed Star Wars Eclipse. No other details about EA’s three new Star Wars games were shared. A recent rumour from Jeff Grubb suggested that the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel could launch this year, though it might be pushed back to 2023.Are you excited for more Star Wars games from Respawn and EA?
