We have some exciting news for fans looking forward to the next installment of the series after collecting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt achievements: CD Projekt says The Witcher 4 will soon enter full production as development is trundling along nicely on the upcoming Xbox RPG.CD Projekt says The Wicher 4 will enter full production soonThe Witcher 4, which is being developed under the codename Polaris at CD Projekt, is almost ready to enter full production. According to a recent press release from the company, “Work on Polaris is progressing — its development team is nearing a major milestone which will mark the end of the preproduction phase.” CD Projekt turned its attention to the new Witcher game last year after launching Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion, moving the majority of its team to this next Witcher project, which is expected to be the first of a new saga, so it’s great to hear that things are progressing so well for the next game.Elsewhere in an earnings video from the company, CD Projekt CFO Piotr Nielubowicz added that the team “made substantial progress” on Polaris in the first half of 2024. While we’re yet to learn about its story, it appears that Geralt of Rivia won’t be the main protagonist in The Witcher 4, but seemingly will appear.
