The latest early access update to Gato Salvaje Studio’s The Waylanders features new quests for rangers to acquire pets that were previously only available to race-specific classes.
In addition to the pet quests, this update adds five new mini-quests given by NPCs, each of which unlocks lore and other rewards upon completion. Improved camera behavior has also been included, which helps prevent it from getting stuck or the player’s view point blocked by map obstacles.
Improvements to the tutorial have also been made with the inclusion of tooltips throughout the first mission of the game and additions to skill, inventory, and character windows. Enemy distribution has been changed, which better reflects the difficulty levels that have been added in June’s update.
