We’ve not long to wait until we can return to Thedas for the Dragon Age: The Veilguard achievements. The upcoming Xbox RPG launches on October 31, and EA has now revealed the release times for players wanting to dive in as soon as the game is out. We also now know that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will run at 60fps on Xbox Series X|S via a Performance mode. Dragon Age: The Veilguard global launch times revealedAlongside announcing the global launch times for Dragon Age: The Veilguard in a BioWare blog post, EA has confirmed that players on Xbox Series X|S will be able to explore Thedas in Fidelity or Performance mode. Fidelity mode will target 30fps, while Performance mode — which, yes, will also be available on Series S — aims for a silky smooth 60fps. It’s unclear what resolution each mode will offer, although it’s likely a safe bet to assume that Fidelity mode on Xbox Series X will target 4K. While talking about the PS5 Pro’s new PSSR AI upscaling tech, BioWare technical director Maciej Kurowski says, “We’ve enabled Raytraced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO) in the 60FPS Performance mode, which previously was only available on the base PlayStation 5 with 30FPS Fidelity mode.” As the raytracing mode is available in PS5’s Fidelity mode, it’s possibly also enabled in the Xbox Series X Fidelity mode too — it would be a hell of a surprise to see it enabled for Xbox Series S, though, so don’t hold your breath. Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches on Xbox Series X|S on October 31 at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET.We recently picked up Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s very secretive Xbox achievement list, which has 43 of the game’s 52 achievements listed as secret.
