The Superhero League is a game that sees you picking a hero and going out to save the world. Granted, most of the world saving involves killing bad guys in slightly gruesome, physics-based ways, but hey that’s par for the course when you’ve got super powers, right?
While you might be invulnerable in the game, that doesn’t mean it’s a walk in the park. Which is why we’ve put together this strategy guide that’s packed full of the best hints, tips and tricks we’ve discovered during our time playing The Superhero League. Follow these suggestions and you’ll be moving into the superhero A-list in no time.
Even if you’ve been playing the game for a while we reckon you’re going to find something to help you out here. And if you’re a newcomer, well, these strategies are the perfect place to start. So let’s get on with it, shall we? Here are the five best hints, tips and cheats for The Superhero League.
Protect the hostages
One of the most important things to know in The Superhero League is that killing civilians is a very bad idea. They wear white shirts and are bald and if you kill them you’ll have to start the level over again. Look for ways to get to the villains without hurting the hostages and you’ll be doing just fine.
Purple means no
Purple is the color that stops all of your attacks. The heroes in purple can’t be directly hurt with your powers, and anything purple can’t be directly manipulated by them. This is where the puzzling comes in. One thing to remember is that purple objects are movable, even if they’re not directly movable. So you can throw things at them or smack them with lasers.
Understand your hero
There are different heroes in the game – you select them from the main screen. Knowing how your hero works is the key to success. You can’t play a painting hero the same way you would a laser hero, for example. Figure out what the different characters do and use it to your advantage.
Push your enemies
When there are multiple enemies on the same level, you can often use one of them to take out all the others. Hurl one bad guy into another and you’ll usually do enough damage to kill them both. The fewer moves you use, the more likely you are to get the best score, so think about ways you can pull off double or even triple kills.
You can’t hurt yourself
Your lasers, paintings, shuriken and psychically controlled boxes are never going to hurt you, so it’s not something you have to worry about. You can chuck your powers about with gay abandon, never fretting that one might come back and kill you. Focus instead on killing your foes.
