While we’re still waiting to find out when we can start unlocking A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead achievements on Xbox Series X|S, the new A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead story trailer has us even more excited for the eventual launch. Judging from this trailer, things look tense enough here for us to wonder if A Quiet Place will be a contender for our list of the best Xbox horror games.A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead story trailer”Capturing the frantic terror, unnerving atmosphere, and gripping human drama that made the franchise famous, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is designed for fans of the films, horror games, and story-driven adventures alike,” Saber said in the press release. “With nothing more than your wits and the simple tools you can scavenge, you’ll have to overcome the many treacherous challenges and obstacles that lay ahead, all while trying to survive the ever-present dangers that lurk all around you.”Developed by Stormind Games and published by Saber Interactive, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead caught our attention last month with its reveal trailer, but this latest trailer gives us a much better look at the gameplay. The protagonist, Alex, is a young college student attempting to survive with her boyfriend Martin in a world filled with keen-eared monsters looking for their next meal. With Alex appearing to be pregnant in the trailer, and already suffering from asthma, our journey through A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead could be a challenging one.One thing that’s evident in the trailer is that the gameplay will bounce between two extremes: quietly sneaking around and scavenging for supplies and then fighting for our lives as the creatures ferociously attack us with impunity. It looks like an adrenaline ride, that’s for sure.If you’re looking for a horror game to sink your teeth into while we wait for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, first-person narrative horror game Still Wakes the Deep is now available on Xbox Game Pass — or check out our list of the best Game Pass games for a host of different genres.
