ESTNN reveals the top five Fortnite streamers of 2021.
Fortnite Battle Royale holds a steady place atop Twitch’s seemingly endless library of games. 2021 was another banner year; Fortnite finished the year as the fourth most-watched game with more than 970M hours. Many personalities reigned supreme in the scene while other unexpected names rose through the ranks.
The days of Ninja, Cloakzy and Tfue dominating the Fortnite category are over. Ninja did see a resurgence in the second half of 2021, but there’s a new breed of streamers on Twitch that represent the game well with entertaining content and diehard fan bases.
Today, ESTNN looks at the most-watched Fortnite streamers of 2021 as we prepare for what lies ahead in 2022.
5. Sardar “Ops” Ghafoor

TSM FTX member Ops ranked as the fifth most-watched Fortnite streamer of 2021 with over 15M hours. He streamed a total of 4,326 hours — more than anyone else on this list — and averaged 3K viewers per stream. Ops’ content includes Fortnite gameplay and the occasional viewing party for high-level tournaments. It’s not a surprise to see Ops inside the top-five, considering how much he streams.
4. Amar “Amar” Al-Naimi

Amar is a beloved figure in Fortnite’s European competitive scene. He frequently broadcasts viewing parties, hosts tournaments and collaborates with some of Europe’s best players. Amar’s hard work in 2021 speaks volumes about his dedication to Fortnite and his community. He streamed 1,288 hours over the last 12 months, enjoyed 15.1M watch hours and averaged 11K viewers per stream. Amar is the cream of the crop in Europe’s Fortnite.
3. David “TheGrefg” Cánovas Martínez

Spanish streamer TheGrefg did not stream nearly as much as the others on this list. However, his community’s support makes him a powerhouse. TheGrefg — a content creator and member of Fortnite’s coveted ICON Series — broadcasted 530 hours of Fortnite in 2021 to more than 20M watch hours. The Spaniard’s 38K average viewership trounces everyone on the list, showing how popular he is when playing Fortnite.
2. Cody “Clix” Conrod

Professional Fortnite player Clix had quite the year in 2021 but it wasn’t all positive. Clix witnessed Epic Games remove his Fortnite Support-A-Creator (SAC) code and distance itself from him. None of that stopped Clix from claiming number two on this list.
The NRG member streamed 932 hours of Fortnite to 22K viewers on average. Stream viewers tuned in for over 20.7M hours through all of this year. There were some ups and downs, but no one can deny that Clix is a top dog in Fortnite.
1. Jesus “Jelty” Navarez Espinoza

Spanish competitive Fortnite player Jelty experienced the come-up of a lifetime this past year. Not only is Jelty one of the top competitive players—but he’s also a dedicated Twitch streamer. The G2 Esports player streamed a total of 2,249 hours of Fortnite with an average of 14K viewers. His 32M watch hours put him significantly higher than the rest.
Jelty was the king of Fortnite in a year where online competitions took center stage. G2 extended the Spanish player’s contract on December 20, and his Twitch stream has immense upside.
There’s a lot to like about Fortnite’s direction in 2022. The game somehow manages to maintain an insane following on all social media platforms. Personalities are the foundation and we’ll have to see what happens next year.
