A new, heartwarming adventure is on the horizon! It’s called Monpic: The Hatchling Meets a Girl (also known as Monpic – The Little Dragon and the Dragon Girl). It’s set to drop on Android, iOS, Steam and Nintendo Switch during the fall 2024.

Developed by Happy Elements and Kakalia Studio, it’s a cute Japanese 2D adventure packed with charm and emotion. There’s storytelling and point-and-click exploration with cute anime art. What else do you need?

Here’s A Bit More About Monpic: The Hatchling Meets a Girl

In Monpic, you’ll dive into a world where humans and monsters share a long, tangled history. Some days they’re at odds, other days they team up. It’s in this setting that the game’s two main characters, Yuzuki and a baby dragon named Pico, begin their journey.

Yuzuki is a curious girl who stumbles upon an apple in the forest one day. She chomps down on it, only to find out it’s actually not an apple, but a rare Dragon Apple. And with that, she starts growing dragon horns and begins transforming into a dragon herself!

Dragon apples are critical for the growth of little dragons. Pico, on the other hand, is a tiny dragon with underdeveloped wings. Throughout the game, you’ll guide this unlikely duo on their adventure as they form a unique bond.

Catch the first PV of the game!

Monpic: The Hatchling Meets a Girl lets you explore different areas, solve puzzles and uncover the topsy-turvy relationship between humans and monsters. The game will offer support in both English and Japanese.

I’m pretty interested in knowing how the story unfolds and what the gameplay will look like. Can Yuzuki return to her human form? I guess I’ll have to wait till fall to know anyway. In the meantime, you can check out the official website for more info.

The Play Store page isn’t up yet. But you can also check out the official X (Twitter) account of the game for the latest updates.
