Evil Dead: The Game is the latest video game to partner with a well-known music artist for an original track, with the release of ‘Come Get Some’ from the prolific rapper, Method Man.Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man has just released an original track for Evil Dead: The Game. Titled ‘Come Get Some,’ it features original voice samples from Ash Williams actor Bruce Campbell and Evil Dead’s original 1981 soundtrack.Method Man’s ‘Come Get Some’ track for Evil Dead: The GameVideo games and music go together like peanut butter and jelly, heavy metal and mosh pits, or Deadite brains and a chainsaw. Without the expert implementation of a good soundtrack, most games just wouldn’t be as spectacular as they are. Seriously, imagine playing Skyrim without the soundtrack… what a dull adventure, right? Sometimes, though, studios like to step a little further into the music world than just the soundtrack, and partner with various artists for official songs and the like. Let’s be honest, we all felt chills when Call of Duty: Ghosts was featured in Eminem’s ‘Survival’ music video. The Elder Scrolls Online recently teamed up with the heavy metal band Trivium for ‘The Phalanx,’ and there have been many, many more.Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games’ upcoming Evil Dead: The Game is the next to partner up with a music artist. The track, ‘Come Get Some’ comes from Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man, his son PXWER, and iNTeLL and will feature in the official launch trailer when Evil Dead: The Game releases on May 13th. Produced by renowned hip-hop producer Statik Selektah — who’s also worked on many of Rockstar Games’ titles — Come Get Some features original samples taken from the original 1981 Evil Dead soundtrack, provided by the film’s soundtrack creator, Joseph LoDuca. As it turns out, Method Man is a huge Evil Dead fan, so expect to hear a ton of franchise references, as well as voice samples from Ash Williams himself… or Bruce Campbell, as he also likes to be called.
