Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed until May 13th, Saber Interactive has announced, but the developer will share more details about the game soon — its release day also happens to be a Friday, so that worked out well!Saber Interactive shared the news on its social media accounts, although a specific reason for the delay hasn’t been mentioned. What we do know, though, is that the team will continue to make it “groovy as hell” in the meantime, and the game now gets to launch on Friday, May 13th, which from a marketing perspective, is gold. Evil Dead: The Game is inspired by the original Evil Dead trilogy and the Ash vs The Evil Dead TV show. It features both co-op and PvP game modes, which will have you attempting to seal the breach between worlds by looting, exploring, and managing your fear. Hell, you can even play as the Kandarian Demon! While we’re excited to see what Saber has done with the franchise, delaying the game out of February is probably for the best, due to the likes of FromSoftware’s Elden Ring and Techland’s Dying Light 2: Stay Human both launching next month, as well as Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Forbidden West on PlayStation. Those three titles are set to hog the limelight throughout February, as well as players’ wallets.Evil Dead: The Game will now launch on May 13th for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. Will you be looking to adventure with Ash and his cohort of Deadite-slaying pals? Let us know down in the comments!
