Embark Studios announced overnight at the Golden Joystick Awards that The Finals will be released for PS4 on December 12, 2024. The game is currently available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.The Finals takes the form of a free-to-play shooter that thrives on destructible environments and sees players taking part in a VR combat game show. Embark Studios plucked inspiration from the like of The Hunger Games and Gladiator for The Finals, which sees teams of up to four slugging it out in a free-for-all competition, with characters featuring Light, Medium, or Heavy builds. The PS5 version of The Finals is now available while the PS4 edition comes out on Dec. 12.
