The Bird Game is a new game from Candlelight Development, a solo dev team. It’s free on Android and brings a bit of strategy and is actually a lot more challenging than it looks. Keep reading to find out all about it.
What’s The Bird Game?
It’s a flight sim basically. You climb, dive, glide, dodge and dash. You have to get to the end of each level without crashing into a thunderstorm or getting sucked into a tornado.
You’re also collecting seeds by popping clouds, grabbing fruit and covering more distance. The seeds are your main upgrade fuel. Using them, you can make your bird be faster or more nimble.
You’ll also need seeds to level up your gear. Seeds also let you fuse three of the same item to make a better one with better stats and a higher-level cap.
The Bird Game has infinite levels stretched across eight different environments. You get over 16 birds to unlock at launch. You can also change how your birds fly by equipping different items.

You Can Even Get Feathers from Other Birds
Yeah, it does sound weird and unethical but that’s the game. You just fly up to them until your bird chirps. Once they hear it, they’ll drop feathers for you. This mechanic turns the sky into an interactive, dynamic space.
The Bird Game also has stuff hidden in the world. There are bird feeders and birdhouses scattered all over the place. Fly by one, grab it and you’ll get items or feathers. You can also collect gems to open even more of them, which come from daily quests and seasonal challenges.
It’s a fun loop of grabbing feathers, evolving your birds and unlocking new abilities. Each time you evolve one, it gets better stats and also starts with a new power. If it sounds fun, check out the game on the Google Play Store.
