The best LCK players in League of Legends Worlds 2022

Oct 4, 2022

The LCK has been for many years an incredibly secured contender for World’s titles, however the last couple of years its domestic league  has been in a downward spiral. With only 2 maximum 3 competitive teams in the league itself, it is relatively hard to improve and come ready to the biggest stage in League of Legends esports.

Nevertheless, those 2 or 3 teams are filled entirely with top tier talent that can absolutely fight and win Worlds. In the following series we are going to take a look at the best players coming from the LCK region into Worlds 2022. A lot of incredible talent will be presented in this list from multiple lanes, so let’s enjoy part 3 jungler edition!

DWG Kia Canyon

DWG Kia did not perform as expected in the LCK 2022 split. Even with star Nuguri coming back to the lineup the Korean superteam was not able to find their mojo on the regular split nor the playoffs.

However, Canyon has been the only player in the roster that continues to dominate the Rift in all stages. Aside from Showmaker, the top and bottom lanes have been underwhelming compared to previous iterations of the team. For any jungler, having two possible weak sides is a nightmare as opportunities become restricted and predictable for the enemy team.

Canyon has tried to adapt to the situation, playing a heavy carry style and willing to try any picks that might provide some pressure for the team. In total Canyon played 15 separate champions in the regular summer split. Having this level of adaptability while keeping a mechanical edge over other junglers is extremely rare and what makes Canyon so special overall.

Before traveling to the US for Worlds 2022, Canyon was able to achieve rank 1 and rank 2 of the Korean SoloQ Ladder. That is a statement of how good he is, and what he is looking to bring into the competition.

T1 Oner

Ever since Oner was placed into T1’s main lineup, he has shown his incredible dedication not only in gameplay but mentally and physically as well. Oner plays mostly through the early game and currently has a 75 percent FB (First Blood) in the LCK Summer Split.

However it is important to note that Oner doesn’t really play with low economy, as normally he grabs a lot resources similar to solo laners. He was placed second in the CS per minute stat, meaning he either clears all camps or taxes the lanes to a certain extent.

Sadly Oner has been one of the affected players of T1’s draft strictness. T1 as a whole has been heavily criticized for a long time due to their inability to adapt to the current meta, however they were able to succeed due to individual talent. Now that every region has gotten better, T1 seems to be left behind.

With the meta shifting to picks such as Lee sin, Hecarim, and Graves we think Oner will have a better time on the Rift. Check out our League of Legends betting page where you can find the best deals and sign up offers!
