Jumping back into Fortnite Remix, we’re re-entering Chapter 2 on the classic map! What are the best Fortnite Remix landing spots here?
The current Fortnite season is another flashback, going back to the second Chapter of the game kind of. It’s an iconic map, but this time with a few changes to accommodate some new collabs. This map is home to Salty Springs, the Rig, and more. Where to land though?
A lot of players likely have an old favorite. A spot where they try to land as much as possible, where they used to fight off spawn in the original Chapter 2. However, with the changing tastes of players, these spots might not have the same vibes they used to.
That’s not even considering the remixes to the game. You’ll need to take advantage of all the new content to get a leg up, especially if you’re taking part in Remix tournaments.
Whether you’re looking to mix things up, or skipped Chapter 2 originally and need to get up to speed, we’ve got the best Fortnite Remix landing spots to head to in every game this season:
Best Fortnite Remix Landing Spots
Salty Springs
Chapter 1 had Tilted, and for the first half, Chapter 2 has Salty Springs. It’s back on the Fortnite Remix map.
For some reason his little neighborhood took on bigger importance in Chapter 2, becoming the drop spot for the sweatiest Fortnite players.
It’s back for Fortnite Remix. If you want a key landing spot for early fights, it’s here. Tons of players drop here every game, and there’s little to contest for.
One of the weird things about Salty has always been the ridiculously poor risk-reward. You drop here, and there are multiple players for each chest. Long-time Fortnite players have likely seen multiple people dropping on a single piece of floor loot here.
It’s really not the best for kitting out a squad. To get out of here with good loot, you need to kill the portion of the lobby that heads here. Not an easy task. However, if you relish the old chaotic fun days of C2 S1 it’s here you need to head.
Salty is the best Fortnite Remix landing spots for players looking to have plenty of fights off spawn. Just try and remember where the chest spawns are, your opponents will.
The Doggpound – New POIs on Fortnite Remix Map
One of the most iconic parts of Fortnite Chapter 2 was the central island in the map, home to the Agency, then Authority, and eventually a giant cube pyramid, the zero point, the key part of each season. What about in Chapter 2 Season 2? It was the Agency.
However, this isn’t the Chapter 2 Season 2 map. It’s the Fortnite Remix map. There have been some changes.
In the center of the map, there is now the Doggpound. A new POI for Snoop Dogg. This spot is home to one of the bosses in the new season.
Land here and defeat Snoop Dogg, and you’ll get his Mythic, a vault, and the boss himself as an NPC afterward. It’s got some of the best rewards out of all the best Fortnite Remix landing spots.
The drawback is it’s busy. There will be plenty of other squads here. Not to mention all the NPCs dotted around.
The Doggpound has also recreated some of the spy mechanics from earlier in Fortnite’s history. There are phone booths to disguise yourself, which then means you get access to special chests. This spot takes a bit more work, but pull it off and you’ll be set up for a great game landing here.
Weeping Woods
One of the coolest areas on the Chapter 2 map is Wailing Woods, a big evolution over the more basic woods in Chapter 1. This spot is home to a few major log cabin structures, with them a decent number of chest spawns.
This spot is a nice middle ground. You’re up against a few other players, but unless the bus route is very specifically over this spot, it likely won’t be the busiest. You also have easy access to matts with all the woods and shield with the mushrooms. Great spot to try out Chapter 2’s central swimming and fishing mechanics too, with a lake running through it.
Weeping Woods is still central enough to rotate quickly enough. Although, keep in mind cars are in Fortnite Remix for some reason. Heading back from the woods to the road and find a spawn might be quicker than taking the most central route out of the storm.
Lazy Lake – Biggest Fortnite Remix Landing Spots
While Salty became a sweaty drop shot, this is really the equivalent to Tiled. A huge urban POI.
This spot is dense enough to have loot for pretty much anyone. If you’re worried about looting up with the right Fortnite weapons, this is probably the best spot to head to on the Fortnite Remix map.
It’s going to be contested here. However, since it’s a bigger locale there’s less competition for each specific building. If you’re quick enough, you could hit and run getting out with starting loot without a ton of fights. A great middle-ground Fortnite Remix landing spot.
Steamy Stacks
In the far corner of the map, we’ve got Fortnite’s power plant. These cooling towers persisted for so much of Chapter 2. It’s a great spot to revisit for a nostalgic few games.
If you’re looking for the best Fortnite Remix landing spots, this area has a real advantage. There’s a lot of loot. It’s also got enough stuff for lots of matts. The central cooling towers are particularly important too. These serve as a glider redeploy.
It’s a quick rotation from here to the Yacht, to capture one of the bosses and Mythics this season. While you’re dropping on the very far side of the map, these towers give you a fighting chance to rotate out. It might be more remote, but it’s still one of the best Fortnite Remix landing spots.
