A new influx of AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D stock appears to have hit the US, with the new gaming CPU now available again on Amazon, and at its MSRP as well. That means you can pick one up for just $479, which has had the knock-on effect of pushing the Ryzen 7 7800X3D back to a more reasonable level.
You can read all about AMD’s latest chip with 3D V-cache in our full Ryzen 7 9800X3D review, and we recommend it as the best gaming CPU you can buy right now. However, the new AMD chip proved so popular when it launched that it sold out immediately, and it’s taken a while for stock to be replenished.
To pick up this CPU now, while it’s back in stock, just click on this link here to go to Amazon and bag one for $479. Sadly, this CPU is still out of stock in a lot of other places around the world. Buyers in the UK, can import it from the US on Amazon right now, but retailers such as Scan are still showing it as out of stock.
With its extra 3D V-cache chip sitting under its eight CPU cores, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D specs have a huge 96MB total of L3 cache, which substantially reduces its need to get data from system memory. In our tests, this really helped the 9800X3D gaming performance, making it faster than any CPU we’ve ever tested in most of our game tests.
What’s more, its use of the new AMD Zen 5 architecture, as well as its faster 5.2GHz clock speed, makes it even quicker than its predecessor, the 5GHz Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
