Eddy Gordo, the classic capoeira fighter that first joined the roster five Tekken installments ago will arrive in Tekken 8 on Friday, April 5, 2024.Gordo’s return was first revealed back in January, though we now have a full gameplay trailer showcasing Gordo’s flowing capoeira fighting style in action, looking better than ever as is the case with everything in Tekken 8.Fans of the character who have early access can get back to the beloved character as early as April 2, 2024, while everyone else will have to wait until the Friday.Early access or not, can check out the gameplay trailer right now however, below.Tekken 3 was the first time Eddy Gordo joined the long-running fighting series, and before Tekken 7, the third installment on the original PlayStation stood as the best selling game in the franchise.While Tekken 8 still has a long way to go, it could very well de-throne Tekken 7, which has surpassed 7 million copies, it still hit 2 million sales in its first two months.It’ll be interesting to see though how long, or if at all Tekken 8 surpasses either game.Source – [Bandai Namco]
