In 2023, Valorant had its first regional league events, where franchised rosters fought in the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific tournaments. After the game’s official launch in China, the region’s first-ever split will start on April 5, 2024, where we will witness over a month of exciting matches.
This stage of VCT China is going to collect the three best teams from the region for Masters Shanghai starting at the end of May. The second split for Champions qualification will take place after that.

VCT 2024 China Stage 1 – List of Teams
Eleven competing teams have been separated into two groups: Group Alpha and Group Omega. The teams in each group were randomly drawn from pots based on their performance at China Kickoff.

VCT 2024 China Stage 1 – Prize
The top three teams from the event will qualify for Masters Shanghai, with the winner securing 3 China Points to help with the Champions 2024 qualification.
- 1st – Masters Shanghai Qualification (+3 China Points)

- 3rd – Masters Shanghai Qualification
VCT 2024 China Stage 1 – Format
Five teams from Group Alpha and six from Group Omega will only meet the squads from the other group.
Group Stage / Regular Season
There will be two round-robin groups to begin the Regular Season. Each Group Alpha squad will square off against each Group Omega team.
The best team of each group advances to the Upper Bracket Semifinals of the Playoffs, while the second and third-placed teams go to the Playoffs Knockout Round.
All Regular Season matchups will be best-of-three (Bo3) maps.
Playoffs
The Playoffs will begin with a Knockout Round, in which four teams (the second and third place holders from the Group Stage) will compete in a single-elimination format. Winners advance to the Upper tournament Semifinals, where they will compete in the Playoffs’ double-elimination tournament.
The Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final matchups will be best-of-five (Bo5). The remainder of the games will be Bo3.
VCT 2024 China Stage 1 – Schedule
Stage 1 of the China Split will feature five weeks of Regular Season/Group Stage matches. The games will usually take place from Friday to Sunday. While most days will have two Bo3s, Day 2 of the tournament is going to have four matches to compensate for the single-match days of early May.
