Saudi Arabian esports organisation Team Falcons has signed a five-year partnership with local banking platform NEO Digital Banking.
According to a release, the partnership aims to ‘enhance the esports experience for fans and players in Saudi Arabia’ by providing a digital banking service that targets younger audiences.
Exact details of any activations that will occur as a result of this partnership have yet to be disclosed. However, the announcement noted that the deal will look to enhance NEO’s brand presence amongst the esports and gaming community. Other highlights that the announcement alluded to include strengthening the relationship between esports and financial institutions as well as boosting esports investments in Saudi Arabia.
NEO Digital Banking’s logo will also be featured on Team Falcons’ jerseys.
Since its creation in 2017, Team Falcons has gone on to become one of the biggest esports organisations in the Middle East. Alongside its partnership with NEO Digital Banking, the organisation’s other commercial partners include coffee brand Barns and fast food chain Kudu. Team Falcons also competed in, and won, the first-ever Esports World Cup Club Championship, part of the multi-title esports competition that took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Team Falcons’ CEO, Mossad Al-Dossary, commented on the new partnership: “We are proud to partner with NEO, as it aligns with our vision of creating unique experiences for players and esports fans in the Kingdom.
“This agreement represents a significant step in integrating digital technology into Saudi esports culture, and we are excited about our future achievements together.” Launched by financial institution Saudi National Bank (SNB) in September 2024, NEO Digital Banking is a digital service that was launched to bolster one of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030’s strategic priorities — digital transformation. Vision 2030 is a government programme to diversify Saudi Arabia economically with esports and gaming also involved in its plans.
