T1 vs BLG Recap Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage Day 8

Oct 28, 2023

It was a day of scrappy plays and dominant lane matches as T1 vs BLG fought for supremacy on Day 8 of the Worlds Swiss stage.

Two teams from the most robust regions in League of Legends esports clashed on the Rift in their quest to overcome the competition and take revenge over the rosters that put them in 2nd seed. After a slow first match, the unkillable legends in T1 are still high off of their first flawless victory over NA’s first seed. The LPL up and comers from BLG on the other hand are a big threat in the Chinese region, and are known as the team that eliminated Faker’s team from MSI 2023.

If you want to bet on LoL esports or just love the game, this T1 vs BLG recap is for you!

T1 vs BLG Recap

Game 1

T1 had a great start as their botlane picked off two BLG players from the get go, but was soon answered by ON when he caught Keria in a 2v2. Gumayusi’s Senna was quick to counter after a midlane skirmish sent two members of Bilibili back to base. By the 11-minute mark, T1 had a commanding 5-1 lead over the LPL #2 seed.

Some added vision on BLG’s top lame gave Zeus all the space he needed to play aggressively. But at this point, BLG chose to play the long game and avoid encounters before Baron spawned. But this also led to them giving away Cloud drake to their LCK opponents. As bad as things looked, the LPL caught Zeus off position and secured a kill, which gave them enough fuel to start reclaiming their territory.

In the middle of the game, BLG still didn’t have enough firepower to match T1, which prevented them from engaging in any way. And even risky dives from Keria and co. ended in their favor. The Tahm Kench was just too much to handle, leading to Zeus and Guma slowly split-pushing to give BLG their first loss in the series.
