Surgeon Simulator 2 update seemingly breaks all 30 Xbox achievements

The full list of Surgeon Simulator 2 achievements have been amputated in what should have been a routine operation. Earlier this week, developer Bossa Studios rolled out a new update that added an offline mode to the comical surgery sim, but it appears to have broken the Surgeon Simulator 2 Xbox achievements.Surgeon Simulator 2 Xbox achievements break following offline patchOn September 17, the Surgeon Simulator 2 servers were shut down, and a new offline mode was patched into the game. However, since the update, players in the TA forums report that certain content and modes have been removed from the game, rendering achievements linked to that content useless. Other simple tutorial achievements are also not unlocking. Looking at our data, we can see there have been no achievement unlocks for Surgeon Simulator 2 since the day of the offline mode update, so we assume that all 30 achievements have now been discontinued. The same can be said for the Windows stack of Surgeon Simulator 2 achievements.Since its launch in 2021, Surgeon Simulator 2 has been plagued with issues, especially when it comes to its achievement list. Back in June, Atari’s Infogrames publishing label acquired the Surgeon Simulator series from TinyBuild, and whether or not Bossa Studios will return to Surgeon Simulator 2 to fix the issues that this offline update has thrown up is unclear. We’ve reached out to Bossa for comment.Earlier this year, we saw something similar with Paradox breaking all the Hearts of Iron 4 achievements while trying to remedy the game’s multiple discontinued achievements. Thankfully, the issue was quickly fixed.
