As a special birthday celebration, Sonic and Tails will be joining the cheeky monkeys in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania when the game releases on October 5th.This year marks the 20th anniversary of Super Monkey Ball and the 30th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog — in fact, both share the same birthday on June 23rd. To celebrate, Sonic and his sidekick, Tails, will be joining AiAi and his gang of apes in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as playable characters. They will be available on the game’s October 5th launch day and can be unlocked through normal gameplay by accruing in-game coins and purchasing the characters in the point shop. Unlocking and playing the characters will change small aspects of the game such as switching out AiAi’s bananas with golden rings. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania launches on October 5th for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
