Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League confirms Season 4 will be its last

Poor old Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League – despite having a few decent live service ingredients, it just couldn’t catch a break. Heck, even Concord stole its crown as the biggest videogame flop of 2024. Given how poorly Warner Bros. talked about the project in recent investor briefings, and the fact that no new content roadmaps for year two of the game have been revealed yet, the writing has been on the wall for a while, but Rocksteady has today confirmed the inevitable – Season 4 will be Suicide Squad KTJL’s last.

Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League’s year one roadmap comes to an end with the imminent Season 4, which adds Deathstroke as a new playable character. When it starts, so too will Episode 7, and then a few weeks into the new year, Episode 8 will arrive, and this will be the final content update that the co-op game will ever receive.

“While Season 4 Episode 8 will mark the final battle against Brainiac, all online features will continue to be available, so you’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends, as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content,” Rocksteady says. It also confirms that the game will remain available to purchase and isn’t being delisted from storefronts.

Alongside the launch of Season 4 and Episode 7, an Offline Mode will be added to the game for those that want to play through all of Kill the Justice League’s main campaign and seasonal story missions solo or without an internet connection. You can either start up a fresh account to play the game offline, or you’ll get the chance to transfer your online profile’s progress and items over to an offline save.

In terms of the content arriving in Season 4, there is the aforementioned Deathstroke, a LexCorp-inspired battle pass containing outfits for the new character, Harley, The Joker, and Boomerang, and a new Elseworld zone that “reconceives Superman’s hometown of Smallville as a medieval village.” Several new Infamy Sets and Notorious gear will also be added with the release of each episode.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League Season 4 and Episode 7 launches on Tuesday, December 10, while Episode 8 – its last ever content update – launches on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

While it will sadly go down as one of the biggest triple-A failures ever, there is plenty of story content to play through and a diverse lineup of characters to use. Should you ever see it as cheap as this ridiculous deal again (which is highly likely once support for the game ends next month) it’s definitely worth grabbing if you love superhero games and the DC universe, generally. Alternatively, here are some other great multiplayer games you and your pals can dive into that have a rather different reputation to Kill the Justice League.
