We don’t have a Chrono Odyssey release date yet, but we do know it’ll be heading to Xbox Series X|S.Chrono Odyssey gameplay reveal trailerAccording to an Xbox Wire post, Npixel plans to “set a new standard for MMORPGs” with Chrono Odyssey, not just visually, but mechanically. Using dynamic time of day, dynamic weather patterns, and enhanced graphics, Chrono Odyssey is said to offer an “authentic experience” as you explore its world, which reacts to your actions. The impact you leave on the world as you explore it will be unique to each player through the game’s event content.As for combat, we’ll have six classes to choose from: Swordsman, Ranger, Sorcerer, Berserker, Paladin, and Assassin. Each class will be able to equip two weapons that can be switched in real-time to offer a combat experience that fits your playstyle. Combat focuses on the basic attack, defensive manoeuvre, and dodge mechanics as a foundation, and due to the enemy AI being able to do the same, as well as use “unpredictable attack patterns,” Chrono Odyssey’s combat should be challenging and exciting — a feature that will extend to the real-time raid events for hundreds of players.By using the Chronotector device, you’ll have the ability to stop and rewind time in Chrono Odyssey, as well as explore alternate timelines. Npixel says that the Chronotector will “unlock a truly unique adventure experience that sets Chrono Odyssey apart from any other games in its genre.” How exactly time manipulation will work when playing with other players, we’re not sure, but it’s certainly an interesting concept.What do you think of Chrono Odyssey so far?
