Update: It has now been confirmed via Twitter that the DLC won’t be included in Xbox Game Pass.Original story: Mr. X Nightmare arrives as Streets of Rage 4 DLC in just a few weeks on July 15th and will be available to Xbox Game Pass members on day one. The DLC adds three new playable characters, new weapons, new enemies, and character customisation, while Mr. X Nightmare’s Survival mode is an “inventive, immensely replayable challenge for Streets of Rage 4’s most versatile brawlers” and will feature weekly challenges. “After the events of Streets of Rage 4, our heroes wanted to prepare themselves for future threats,” the devs say. “Axel, Blaze and their mates will start a very special deranged training with the help of Dr. Zan, who built an AI program from the remnants of Mister X’s brain that simulates every kind of danger they could be facing.”Arriving on the same day will be a free update with a training system, “colour palette options, a fiendish New Mania+ difficulty,” and a host of “refinements and balancing changes” based on community feedback.
