Reddit user Moozipan posted this video up on the Starfield subreddit, showing a brief clip of their player character walking up to a door and opening it to reveal thousands of potatoes, which naturally spilled out of the doorway. What looks like a dumb (and hilarious) gag at first sight is actually a pretty glorious demonstration of the object physics engine on display.Starfield has some pretty impressive potato physics Time To Let Something Goby u/Moozipan in Starfield The icing on the cake is Constellation leader Sarah Morgan’s comment of “you’re carrying too many odds and ends, time to let something go” as the player picks up a potato before opening the door. Excellent comedic timing from the cosmic adventurer there.Starfield isn’t even officially out yet, with a launch date of September 6, but thanks to the five days of early access offered by the Premium Edition, many galactic explorers have been able to begin their voyage across the starfield already. While we don’t know the full numbers because not everyone is registered with TrueAchievements (for shame, go sign up if you haven’t already), we can already see that over 89,000 Xbox players have started up the game, with nearly 1,000 of you having beat the main campaign already. We doubt many others have amassed as impressive a potato collection as Moozipan though, so hats off to them. There was a price for this level of greatness though (beyond the cost of 20,000 potatoes). Moozipan replied in a comment stating that their “performance went below 20 fps after that point”. Judging by the look of the textures, they probably had to lower the graphics quality settings a bit too.If you’re looking to amass your own collection of sweet sweet GamerScore, check out our Starfield achievements page for a complete list, along with solutions to the trickier achievements from our community.
