New Stardew Valley achievements are on the way with update 1.6, with creator Eric Barone reassuring players that ports for the new update “are still in progress.” We don’t have a date for Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update on consoles yet, but we’re happy to wait as long as is needed for more content for one of the best indie games on Xbox.Stardew Valley creator says the ports are “on my mind every minute””The ports and next PC update are still in progress,” Barone says on X. “I know it is taking a long time, it’s on my mind every minute. I have personally been working on the mobile port every day. I will announce when there is any meaningful news (e.g. a release date). Hope you’re having a good summer.”As a reminder, there’s an incredible amount of new content in Update 1.6, including new festivals, a new farm type, a mastery system, new dialogue, and new achievements. Stardew Valley’s updates are always top quality and it’ll be great to see this one come to Xbox — whenever that might be. The fact that Stardew Valley’s updates are so enjoyable makes it even better that Barone has also promised that he’ll never charge for DLC and updates, saying, “I swear on the honor of my family name, I will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live. Screencap this and shame me if I ever violate this oath.” We’ll keep an eye out for a date for update 1.6 on Xbox — in the meantime, you can check out some of the other best Xbox Game Pass games to play.
