Another brilliant game has come to mobile thanks to the Netflix Gaming subscription service. From developer Thunder Lotus, Spiritfarer Mobile is now available for Netflix subscribers worldwide.
Netflix releases Spiritfarer Mobile
Previously only playable on mobile via Xbox Game Pass streaming, a new Spiritfarer Mobile port is now available to play. If you’ve been waiting to play a native phone port, now is your chance!
In the game, you play as the Ferrymaster. Your role consists of building a boat for spirits to arrive on in their journey to the afterlife. You’ll get to learn about these spirits’ lives, helping them to cross over into the next world.
Ported by Playdigious, this is another extraordinary mobile port of an indie game. While there are touch controls, you’ll be very excited to hear that there’s native controller support as well.
An external controller is likely the best way to play this game. However, it shouldn’t matter that much. Furthermore, Playdigious’ prior work with mobile conversions make us very confident that this will have brilliant touch controls.

A great deal for Netflix gamers
As far as Netflix Gaming releases go, Spiritfarer Mobile is definitely one of the most exciting. After Into the Breach, we thought we’d seen the best Netflix had to offer on mobile. However, Spiritfarer’s new port blows that out of the water.
It would appear that Netflix is dedicated to bringing worthwhile experiences to mobile. While the company is deleting premium versions of games in favour of its subscription versions, we are also getting more high-quality experiences than ever.
With so many mobile games being free-to-play microtransaction-filled shlock, it’s good to proper single-player games on phone. Even if they are trapped behind a Netflix subscription. (Please release paid versions as well, Netflix!)
