A new update for Splitgate that finally brings mantling to the game, as well as a bunch of other quality of life improvements, is available to download now. The September Update brings several highly-requested features from the Splitgate community to the first-person shooter. The most notable addition is mantling, which allows you to grab and pull yourself up on ledges that were previously out of reach. According to the devs, mantling has been designed without animation as to not interfere with aiming/gunplay — instead, a small jetpack boost will lift you over a ledge. Mantling can be toggled off in the settings. Also included with the update are optimisation improvements to the Karman Station map, which also returns to normal map rotation, improvements to the Contamination mode, and more.
