Players collecting the Warhammer 40:000: Space Marine 2 achievements who had feedback for Saber Interactive were recently invited to submit their thoughts to the developer. In response to that feedback, Saber has now revealed some of the upcoming Space Marine 2 improvements we can expect to see arrive for the Xbox third-person shooter in the future.Space Marine 2 Q+A reveals upcoming improvements and fixesIn a Q+A post on Steam, Saber Interactive says its ‘Focus Together’ forums were flooded with player requests, and that the developer now have answers to many of the highest community-rated questions. While the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 roadmap reveals plenty of content updates for us to look forward to, we can expect other updates to arrive with connectivity improvements, fixes, and more in between each Season. Saber says that bots were mentioned a decent amount, with players suggesting that they’re too “inefficient” for solo play, including the campaign’s Veteran difficulty — something we also highlighted in our Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 review. Saber says the bots are designed to be more passive so they don’t take the spotlight from players, but agrees they can be too passive. “In the next patch, we have a few improvements of their behavior against boss fights in the campaign,” Saber says. “We are also considering improving their involvement during specific objectives in the campaign for a later patch.” In a future patch, the team will “adjust Veteran difficulty” so that it is still challenging but “slightly more fair because we will tweak AI aggressiveness on this difficulty.”Another design choice players dislike is the class locking in Operations, which only lets one player use each class. Saber says it doesn’t “Want to change that rule for regular matchmaking, but we are considering it as an expansion of private lobbies in the future.” For now, though, the team is “focusing on improving matchmaking so that you will not matchmake with players of the same class.”In response to players suggesting that Bolter weapons are underpowered, Saber believes the issue is more related to enemies being far tougher on higher difficulties. “We hear you, and some weapons can underdeliver on the power fantasy at higher difficulty levels,” Saber says. “We also recognize that enemies can be too bullet spongy on higher difficulty, which is not much fun. That’s the core issue, rather than the bolters themselves. For now, we are testing some tweaks in difficulty to make the enemies have less health but keep the engaging difficulty.”Other notable changes coming in the future include paying out experience for the content you had played through before being kicked from a co-op match, plans to improve team balancing in multiplayer matches, and new customization options for your Space Marine, including new faces. Space Marine 2 has had a fantastic launch, drawing in a ton of players. In fact, it’s the biggest Warhammer 40K game launch we’ve seen on Xbox to date.
