Snag some overlooked indie games at $3 each with this big bundle offering

With the Steam Spring Sale underway, I’m hit by choice paralysis. Valve’s storefront often has great deals, but there are always far too many for me to parse. I’ll make a list and throw everything in my cart only to come back once the sale is finished, savings lost like dust in the wind. That’s why I always look out for bundles instead, and the latest Fanatical one is filled with some of the best indies I’ve ever played.

First up in Fanatical’s March Build your Own Bundle is Go Mecha Ball. This fast-paced isometric combat roguelike is filled with neon lights, twin stick shooting, and some of the smoothest gameplay I’ve ever got my hands on. You play as an alien creature controlling a mech that morphs between robotic shooter form and a giant, deadly pinball, and it’s some of the most fun the genre has to offer. There are plenty of weapons and power ups, huge bosses, and a vast amount of bumpers to bounce off. It’s pure adrenaline.

Also in the bundle is Dice and Fold, which recently got a new, free update. This roguelike combines DnD-inspired dungeon crawling with a roll-based combat system, and creates something entirely new. So if you love leaving fights and progress up to (not too much) chance, Dice and Fold has something for you. This is more in the turn-based strategy camp than Go Mecha Ball’s action, but variety is the spice of life.

Then we have Grapple Dog, a delightful old-school-inspired platformer where you play as a pooch with a rope. You swing across the 2D levels and utilize momentum to get enough height or distance, and there’s some real tricky stages to help you test your skills. It’s bright, bold, and sure to put a smile on your face.

You can also get a SteamWorld Classics bundle within the Fanatical deal itself, which comes with four different games from across the series. The SteamWorld Dig games alone are some of the most beloved on PC, taking you on a robotic western Metroidvania adventure you can dredge and claw through to your heart’s content. There are plenty more games in the bundle, too, but these are just some of the best on offer.

Fanatical’s Platinum Collection – Build your own Bundle is available until Thursday April 3. You can get three games for $3.33 / £3.33 per item, five games for $3 / £3 per item, or seven or more for $2.85 2.85 per item. All of the codes are for Steam. Just click the box above or go to Fanatical itself.

We also have all the biggest upcoming PC games and free PC games you need to check out, too.
