The Six Invitational, Rainbow Six: Siege’s biggest esports event, will take place in Boston, United States, in early 2025.
The event will be held at the MGM Music Hall, a large venue that has hosted concerts, stand-up comedy shows and esports events since its opening in 2022.
The Six Invitational is the season-ending event of the Rainbow Six Siege competitive year, with the highest prize pool of all Rainbow Six events. The 2024 edition of the event took place in São Paulo, Brazil, and had a prize pool of $3m (£2.3m). In 2025, the event will come to the United States for the first time in its history and will be produced by BLAST alongside the game’s creator Ubisoft.
Six Invitational spots are handed out to teams that collect the most points during the R6 Esports regular season, which consists of regional leagues and Majors. The upcoming Montreal Major is the last chance for teams to secure a place at the Six Invitational.
The 2025 Six Invitational will take place between February 3rd and 16th across three stages. The group stage and playoffs will not be open to the public, but viewers will be welcomed into the MGM Music Hall for the finals between February 14th and 16th, 2025.
The venue for the event, the MGM Music Hall, is interestingly no stranger to esports. The MGM Hall hosted the first Major of the Call of Duty League 2024 season in January with Boston Breach as its home team.
The 2024 edition of the Six Invitational was the most-watched event in the game’s history to date, attracting over 520,000 peak viewers. The collaboration between BLAST and Ubisoft has provided a breath of fresh air into the esports event, so expectations are high for the 2025 edition.
