You might want to get cracking with the Hunt: Showdown achievements as Crytek has announced it is ending Xbox One support for Hunt: Showdown in August as part of a significant relaunch for the Xbox first-person shooter.Hunt: Showdown free Xbox Series X|S upgrade coming in AugustLast year, Crytek announced Hunt: Showdown was getting an engine upgrade, and as a result, the developer said it would drop Xbox One support for the game and that an Xbox Series X|S version of the title would be made free to all owners. Now, Crytek’s David Fifield has confirmed that Xbox One players will no longer be able to play Hunt: Shodown as of August 15. “This summer will usher in a whole new era of Hunt, as our update to CryEngine 5.11 goes live on the 15th of August 2024,” Fifield said in a new developer update video. “After this is live and running natively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, you will no longer be able to play at all on the older generations of consoles and will need to upgrade.”Fifield also noted that accounts and all related DLC packs to Hunt: Showdown will “carry up to the new version at no additional cost when you’re ready to make the hardware transition.” At the moment, we’re a little unsure what all this means for the Hunt: Showdown achievements. Crytek could discontinue the current list for a new Xbox Series X|S stack, or it could release the current-gen version with the list as it is now. We’ve reached out to Crytek for clarification, but if you are worried about potential discontinued achievements, you may want to start working on the completion now just to be safe. Aside from the switch to CryEngine 5.11, Hunt: Showdown’s August update will also bring a new map, a new UI/UX design, performance improvements, and more to the first-person shooter. Fifield says we can expect regular updates about what’s to come in the run-up to August.
