Sherlock Holmes Chapter One will release on November 16, 2021, for the PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X, at least according the the Microsoft Store. Developer Frogwares notes—while maintaining the “fall” release window—that past-gen consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One will not be included on launch. Instead, the last-gen versions will release at a later date in order for the team to polish the game. Furthermore, the team is planning to reveal “something new” and answer frequently asked questions from fans on September 16, 2021, which many expect to be the official confirmation of the release date.“We decided that we need a bit more time to work on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One,” the team says in the statement posted via Twitter. “Therefore, the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X+S versions will launch this fall, but the PS4 and XB1 are planned for a later date (but not that much later).” While the team did not specify when the game would officially launch, the Microsoft app store actually lists the game as releasing on November 16, 2021.Additionally, Frogwares reassured fans that past-gen consoles are not forgotten and that delays will be “a few weeks at most.”The reason is that we need more time and a little breathing room for our team to wrap these versions up properly. We are talking a few weeks at most, but we will give you exact dates soon. However, rest assured that these versions are not canceled. The developer also highlighted the game’s disguise and customization system, as well as some of the voice actors that will be part of the cast.
