Shattered Space deep dive reveals story details, new locations, and more

With more Starfield achievements on the way, those curious about the Xbox RPG’s first big expansion will want to check out Bethesda’s new Starfield: Shattered Space Deep Dive trailer, which reveals loads of interesting details about the upcoming DLC. Starfield: Shattered Space — Deep DiveStarfield: Shattered Space ships you off to Va’Ruun’kai, the mysterious homeworld of House Va’Ruun. According to Bethesda, before the start of Shattered Space, you learn that one of House Va’Ruun’s experiments has gone terribly wrong and has ripped a hole in the fabric of space-time. With half of the capital city destroyed, House Va’Ruun’s leader missing, and political factions all vying for power, it’s up to you to investigate a terrifying new threat and ultimately decide the fate of House Va’Ruun. Interestingly, Bethesda says it is taking a different approach to combat with Shattered Space. While the base game is mainly focused on ranged gun combat, with the expansion, Bethesda is closing that distance and amping up the chaos and aggression of combat. As we saw in the leaked Starfield: Shattered Space achievements, you will be going up against two new enemy types: Vortex Horrors and the Redeemed. Last month. Bethesda rolled out a sizeable update for Starfield that added a land vehicle to the game. This new buggy will help you get around Va’Ruun’kai when Starfield: Shattered Space launches on September 30.
