Mar 7, 2022

EA is closing servers for multiple legacy NHL titles later this year. Servers for NHL 14, NHL 15 (Xbox 360), NHL 15, NHL Legacy Edition, NHL 16, NHL 17, and NHL 18 will all retire in June due to low player counts. As per a message on EA’s Online Services Update page, EA says that the “daily active player base in some previous NHL titles has reached a very low number” and it can “no longer ensure a quality online experience.” As a result of this, EA says it’s retiring the servers of NHL 14, NHL 15, NHL 16, NHL 17, and NHL 18 on June 6th, 2022. “After this date, you’ll still be able to play all offline modes on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One,” EA notes. This news means that numerous online achievements will be discontinued once the server closure hits on June 6th. You can check out each game’s achievement list below. The servers for these games will close on June 6th. Do you need to mop up any achievements from these legacy NHL titles before their servers close? Let us know down in the comments. Thanks to lor for the heads-up!
