If you already own a Secretlab gaming chair and it’s looking a little tired and/or dirty, or you’re thinking of buying one but are concerned about marks and dirt degrading it over time, the new Secretlab Skins Lite might be just what you need. Secretlab has offered its range of Skins seat covers for a while, but the new Lite version is 50% cheaper, making it even easier to cover and protect your gaming chair.

As we found in our Secretlab Titan Evo review, it’s the customization on offer with this chair that really makes it the best gaming chair around. With these new Secretlab Skins Lite, you now have yet another way in which you can change the look and feel of your chair, without breaking the bank.

The new chair sleeves, as Secretlab calls them, offer the same core features as the existing Skins, but use a new material that the company says “gives our designers precise control over all the colors and intricate graphics at the pixel level.”

The Lite fabric uses what Secretlab describes as “an in-house blend of stretchable, lightweight fibers that gives a much silkier and smoother finish than the original line”. You can see this difference in the image below (right click to open a larger version), with the original on the left having a chunkier-knit look while the Lite version is a finer weave. The company is also confident that “fans will still enjoy the same benefits as the original Secretlab Skins (SoftWeave).”

As for what the sleeves do, they come in two parts, with one for the seat base and one for the seat back. They provide a tight-fitting cover for your Titan Evo chair, to the point where they “give the same indistinguishable form and fit” as the chair. The sleeves just zip up over the chair and can be installed in three minutes, according to Secretlab.

As well as offering a way to cover over a tired-looking chair, the Skins Lite range also offers a selection of custom looks that you can use to add some flair to a new chair. So, for instance, you might want to buy a sensible plain-color chair, just in case you change your mind on your favorite esports team/game/color, but then still customize your chair in the shorter term with one of these sleeves.

The new Skins Lite range is available in a wide variety of colors and designs, many of which match the existing Skins designs, including Cyberpunk 2077, Naruto Shippuden, and Boba Fett editions. What’s more, the company is launching six brand new designs in the Skins Lite format. These include Jinx and Vi-themed designs for Arcane fans (you can find out the latest on the Arcane season 2 release date here), Stormrage and Lich King designs for World of Warcraft players, and Goku and Vegata options for Dragon Ball Z gamers.

As for that all-important pricing change, existing Skins cost from $169, but the new Skins Lite are just $99.
