Sea of Thieves adds new World Event and nine Xbox achievements to unlock with Season 13

It’s time to venture out onto the seas once more and unlock another batch of Sea of Thieves achievements. Sea of Thieves Season 13 is now live, bringing some pretty big changes to the Xbox open-world game. Season 13 adds a new world event for players to tackle. Captain Flameheart has returned to the Sea of Thieves, and his mighty warship, The Burning Blade, is now prowling the high seas. If you decide to take on The Burning Blade, be prepared for a fight, as the warship is equipped with ten cannons and a crew of Obsidian Skeletons. If you claim victory over the crew, you will be given the choice of either scuttling the ship or pledging your allegiance to Captain Flameheart and getting to captain The Burning Blade. If you opt to sink The Burning Blade, you will be rewarded with the Blade of Souls, which not only deals fire damage upon hitting an enemy but increases in value after completing rituals at the new Skeleton Camps. This blade can then be sold for a tidy sum. If you do decide to crew the warship, your location will be visible to all other players on the server, so you’ll need to stay vigilant — as Rare says, “You are now the world event.” With the Obsidian Skeletons now in your service, you will need to journey across the sea to complete rituals at Skeleton Camps and increase the value of loot stored within the ship. Once you’ve completed as many rituals as you like and have had your fun with The Burning Blade, returning the ship to Captain Flameheart at The Reaper’s Hideout will reward you with gold and reputation for The Reaper’s Bones.The new Skeleton Camps dotted around the Sea of Thieves, which have been designed to excavate rare artifacts from underground, were constructed by the Obsidian Skeletons loyal to Captain Flamheart. These camps play like Sea Forts and can be activated at any time by any crew.
