The Samsung Galaxy A23 arrived at HQ and is now in the review queue. It comes in a simple box with a 15W charger, USB cable, and a SIM tool. Our particular unit is the Black one but you can have the phone in White, Blue or Peach as well.
The Galaxy A22 had an AMOLED display, albeit of 720p resolution, and at 6.4 inches and with reasonable bezels it made up for a compact phone. The Galaxy A23 has a larger 6.6-inch 1080p LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, but in turn is a bigger handset.

The display isn’t bad, but it’s not all that great either. It isn’t as bright as we’d like and struggles for legibility in some scenarios. It also leans a bit blue, but we’ll test it thoroughly in our review and give you a more detailed rundown.
On the upside, the Galaxy A23 has a 50MP main camera that should perform well for the class. The processor of choice is the Snapdragon 665 – an 11nm chip that while not a screamer, provides good general performance.
The Galaxy A23’s strongest side is its battery. At 5,000mAh, it should last a long time between charges. We’ll test that and more in our full review, but we ask that you be patient – there are a lot of phones in the queue at the moment.
