Saints Row’s next DLC is set to add Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus, a solo game mode that sees contestants fight to the death for loot, and Deep Silver has now revealed what we’ll be getting up to.Similar to Professor Genki’s Super Ethical Reality Climax and Genkibowl VII from previous games in the series, Saints Row is getting its own reality show-style game mode called Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus. As revealed in the Saints Row roadmap, we can expect the new single-player horde mode to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as DLC in July, alongside new features, improvements, and more.Saints Row: Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus detailsDeep Silver says that Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus is a horde-style game mode for a live-streaming service on the island of New Birmingham (Boot Hill). We won’t be able to take our boss into the mode, and will instead step into the shoes of one of the four contestants: a former cop, the rightful heir to the Panteros, a big game hunter, and a Murder Circus fan.The aim of the game is to collect the loot from Casket of Chaos boxes around the map while fending off other contestants — other boxes will contain weapons and skills. Each round you win will increase your level, and once you reach the level cap, you’ll fight your rival contestant as an “ultimate boss” encounter. You can play as many rounds as you like, and no matter if you win or lose, you’ll earn an in-game-only currency called BootCoins to spend on perks, boosters, XP, and upgrades. Anything you buy from the BootCoin Emporium is exclusive to the Murder Circus game mode, but there will be a host of missions and challenges to complete which reward you with cosmetics, weapons, and HQ Collectables to use in the main game.We don’t have a release date for Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus DLC for Saints Row, but with Summer Game Fest on the horizon, we’ll hopefully see a trailer for it in the coming weeks.
