Run of Life is a game that sees you trying to get to heaven when you’re as young as possible. When you put it like that, it actually sounds pretty horrid. It isn’t though, it’s an auto-running game that sees you making choices to give yourself the best chance to get to the end of the level.
It’s not the most complex experience, but there are some ideas here you’re going to have to understand if you want to be sure of getting the best score every time you play. That’s why we’ve written this guide – it’s packed full of the best hints, tips and tricks we’ve discovered during our time with Run of Life.
Even if you’ve been playing the game for a while, we reckon there’s going to be something here to help you out. So let’s get on with it, life is short after all. Here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Run of Life.
Go for the smallest block
The aim of the game is to be as young as possible when you get to the stairs to heaven. The higher the number on the blocks you barge into, the older you’re going to get. You should always try and hit the block with the lowest number on it, because it’ll age you the least. You can die before you get to the end of the level if you hit too many gates with large numbers on them.
Pick up the items
The items scattered around the levels will, for the most part, decrease your age. Things like bottles of water, yoga mats and skin cream will reduce your age and make it more likely that you’ll make it to the bench at the very end of the level. There are, however, items that will set you back. We’ll deal with those next.
Watch out for skulls
You’ll often spot ominous skulls hovering above the path in clouds of jagged red. Hit one of these and you’ll creep closer towards death. You should avoid doing that at any cost, even if it means missing out on more helpful items or being forced to hit a larger numbered block. Skulls are the worst, so stay away from them. The same goes for pools of death, if you couldn’t tell by the name.
Take the path of least resistance
You should always be on the lookout for what’s ahead. There are walls, for example, that push you towards certain blocks or obstacles. Prioritize taking the path that’s going to keep you the youngest, whichever one that may be.
Don’t worry about cash
You’re going to be given a lot of chances to collect cash, whether that’s picking it up while you’re walking down the path or watching a video at the end of your life to increase your haul. The fact is, the cash doesn’t really have any use, so there’s really no point trying to get more of it. If you pick some up, then that’s fine, but, just like in real life, it absolutely should not be a priority.
