Tasked with arresting Satan (yep, that one), DeadToast Entertainment (My Friend Pedro) and Devolver Digital have released a demo for their precision platformer Shotgun Cop Man on Steam.
Taking on the lead role of the titular lead-slingin’ lawman, Shotgun Cop Man will have players descending into the underworld to raise Hell – in Hell.
This title’s interesting, in that one’s weapons are one’s wings. Shotgun Cop Man has players propelling oneself through hordes of demons, devious traps, and thrilling challenges using wits and weapons alike.
Regarding Shotgun Cop Man’s design, solo developer Victor had to say the following:
“The idea of using a shotgun to propel yourself across the levels really resonated with me because of its simplicity close to the core of the design of the game. It felt like anything I’d build around that hook would be interesting not only for me to explore, but for players to experience too.
I quickly found myself getting stuck playing longer than I intended while developing the early prototype, which is a good sign!
I feel there is something in this game that pulls you into a nice flow state quite quickly.”

A 17-level demo of Shotgun Cop Man is avaialble for the PC via Steam, with the full version launching for both PC and the Nintendo Switch later this year for $9.99.
Featuring music from red-hot properties like Persona, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Made in Abyss, Cowboy Bebop, and Tower of God, Strawberry Hill Studio will present Lotus Juice and Raj Ramayya at San Francisco’s DNA Lounge on March 29.
