Rockstar Games has removed Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas from the PlayStation Store, which it planned to do after revealing the upcoming GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition last week. Those of you who have purchased any of the classic GTA games for the PS2 via the PS Store can still download them going forward, but for everyone else, you’ll have to wait to get your hands on the remasters to play them. The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition will feature all three aforementioned games, albeit all spruced up for modern platforms. We don’t yet know how much of a remastering process is actually going into them, but hopefully they will still retain the look and feel of the originals.Hopefully the soundtracks will be up to par, as the PS2 versions on the PS Store removed some songs due to licensing issues. Vice City in particular is known for its brilliant 80s soundtrack, mixing the best rock, pop, and heavy metal from the era.Hell, the prequel, GTA Vice City Stories, even brought in Phil Collins for a role in the story. Personally, I’d like to see this and Liberty City Stories given the remastering treatment, too.GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, with a release date yet to be announced.[Source – Push Square]
