The popular autobattler and the most marketable esports MOBA, League of Legends, will fully participate in the Esports Cup in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, but Riot revealed that it won’t cpount as an official LoL event that would involve Riot Games in it’s production.
The esports event aims to fulfill Riot’s intent to ‘pay attention to the MENA region in the League of Legends Sports and provide an opportunity for LoL and TFT talent to participate in a bigger stage.
This announcements was followed that RIot will also introduced localized MIdlle EAstern servers sometime during the second half of 2024.“We’re excited for players in the Middle East to play League and TFT with significantly reduced ping starting soon” read the blog post.
League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics will join a broad variety of other esports titles such as Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, EA Sports FC 24, Rocket League, Fortnite, and Free Fire.
