Classic fighter SoulCalibur 2 HD looks to be the latest delisting casualty on the Microsoft Store, following the removal of the original game from the Xbox marketplace earlier this year. The 2013 remaster of Bandai Namco’s superb weapon-based fighting sequel seems to have been given the chop in the last day or two, with reports from users claiming to have bought it as recently as last week, but the game is no longer available for purchase and has sadly tumbled off the Stage of History.SoulCalibur 2 HD delisted on XboxDespite being removed from the store, it appears that codes from resellers currently still allow you to redeem the game, although it’s unclear how long this may continue to work — the original SoulCalibur was pulled from sale back in February, with some folks now claiming that even download codes purchased at retail outlets will no longer redeem correctly.SoulCalibur 2 HD’s removal leaves just SC5 and SC6 on the store, although even those won’t last forever — the series’ love for including guest characters from other franchises and media naturally give these games a shelf life depending on the terms of the license agreements, although physical copies shouldn’t prove too hard to find, which cannot be said of this XBLA release.Sad to see another classic bite the dust? Worried that the tale of souls and swords might not be eternally retold after all? Let us know!
