Riders Republic Season 2: Showdown begins today and brings with it the Showdown arena with a brand-new 6v6 mode, new mass races, cosmetics, a single-wheel Manual Mode, and more.Strap on your helmet and hit the trails, slopes, and skies in Riders Republic for Season 2: Showdown, which kicks off today for all players. Year 1 Pass holders will get some additional goodies in the way of two new toys: Spider and Juggernaut. You can access them via the new Showdown mode, as well as an exclusive Sniper toy. Do you fancy mixing up your gameplay while working through the Riders Republic achievements? Season 2’s titular Showdown arena should offer a good change of pace for you. It’s a 6v6 game mode that sets you the task of collecting lightning — we’re not sure if it meets health and safety regulatory approval, but it sounds fun —and getting it back to your banking zone to beat your rivals. Ubisoft says that the new toys on offer will open up a new way to play, so it sounds promising.Alongside the Showdown arena, various new mass races have been added, as well as a brand-new Manual Mode, which will allow you to “ride a single wheel in style.” Season 2 has also introduced a new in-game specific friends list and clan features, so you can create your own community of riders. As always, new season progression is available to work through, as well as seven weekly spotlights.
