Fresh off its announcement last week we have the Realme Watch 3 in our office. Prior to our detailed breakdown of the wearable, we’re bringing you its key features.

Watch 3 serves as a direct successor to last year’s Realme Watch 2 – an entry-level smartwatch (priced at ₹3,500/~€40) with an LCD touchscreen and the usual mix of health and sports tracking. The new model gets a larger 1.8-inch screen though its resolution is down to 240 x 286 pixels compared to 320 x 320 pixels on the Watch 2. Peak brightness is now 500 nits compared to 600 nits on last year’s model.

In terms of looks, Watch 3 brings a squared-off design on the casing. The frame looks like it’s made from metal but is actually shiny plastic which has a gunmetal look on our black color review unit. The watch weighs in at 40 grams – comfortable enough even for longer periods of time. The bundled silicone watch strap feels nice on the wrist and you can always change it up with any standard 22mm strap.

One big advantage for the Watch 3 is its built-in loudspeaker which lets you take Bluetooth calls directly from your wrist. The retail package includes the watch alongside its proprietary two-pin magnetic charger.

Realme claims Watch 3 can last seven days between charges with regular use – we’ll make sure to test this claim in our full review alongside the rest of its capabilities.
